One of De Niro's many great scenes from Martin Scorsese's Raging Bull, I chose the one below to emphasize the physical transformation the actor went through. He gained 60 pounds for his Oscar-winning role and he is barely even recognizable as he talks to the mirror in the clip below.

Great choice of clip. I think for me, the best moment of this movie has to be Jake's final fight with Sugar Ray Robinson, where he allows himself to get beat to a bloody pulp...
"Ray...you never knocked me down Ray..."
DeNiro's best performance.
